Academic Program Review Committee

Charge: The Academic Program Review Committee is charged with reviewing the program summaries and responding to the Administration within 4 weeks. This requires timely access to accurate quantitative and qualitative data compiled by the programs and the Administration, including the departments’ self-studies. The Committee is further charged to serve as an interface between the Faculty Senate and the Administration during the Academic Program Review process. As such, the Committee will make recommendations based on the programs’ understanding of its best practices as well as metrics and other guidance from the Administration, with the expectation that the Chancellor shall provide explanations of the university’s final decisions. This feedback and advice may include recommendations about the advisability of expanding, contracting, or discontinuing programs as well as recommendations about taking no action with respect to programs.

Membership: One (1) voting General Faculty member elected from each electoral division; plus one (1) Senator appointed by the Chair of the Senate. Non-voting: Director of the Office of Assessment, Accreditation, and Academic Program Planning.
