A few important pieces of information:

• The clinic is taking place today from 9 am – 3 pm in the EUC Maple Room.
• The clinic is for individuals who 1) do not have COVID-19 symptoms (are asymptomatic); and 2) have not been in close contact recently with someone who has tested positive.
• Participation is voluntary.
• The testing is conducted by an outside vendor, Starmed.
• A sample will be collected from the nose and tested to see if the virus is present.
• Employees will receive their results directly.
• Employees will be given the opportunity to sign a waiver that allows Starmed to report their results directly to the UNCG Case Management Team.
• By law, Starmed must report all results to the public health department. Public Health, in turn, will inform us if an employee tests positive.

Please identify employees who you believe would benefit most from having this opportunity (and who want to participate) and ask them to do the following:

• Text COVID to 704-850-6996.
• They will receive a link to Starmed’s online registration form.
• Click the link and complete the form prior to arriving for testing, if possible.
• Starmed will file with employees’ insurance for reimbursement.
• Regardless of whether insurance pays or not, there are no out of pocket expenses for employees.

To reiterate, if an employee is feeling ill, they should stay home and contact their health care provider to determine if they need to be tested.
